DB had the tree and stump removal guys on Friday to cut the tree down.  The Lawrence Tree and Stump Removal guys did a good job cutting the three to pieces just right for us for our firewood. The rest of the tree went into their truck.  The stump will be removed on Monday.  I told DB to leave the stump so it won’t cost us so much money.  Removal of the stump cost more than cutting the tree down.

The side of the bedroom is now much warmer, no more shade from the tree.  And of course it makes the bedroom and the bathroom brighter, morning and mid morning sun baking in.  It would  be nice in the winter, but summer???

We want our trees front and back to cut down but it’s too expensive.Last 3 years I quote for 3 trees at front,it’s cost $1200 but now I think it’s more!!.My neighbour get their backyard trees and stump removed in a day, cost them $4K last year.Of course in summer our house are more cooling but I hate it when Fall and Spring arrive.I have to rack the leaves in fall,in spring the acorn flower is killing me.It’s good idea to keep the wood for your fireplace since the gas is so expensive now!

Yes it will save us some dough on wood but will can only use them next year or two for them to dry out.

I like your house, look simple and neat.

Thanks, Jam. Still a lot of weeding to do :)

Now you can look forward to some nice fire and cozying up with BD this winter. Hm….the things you can do… :)

But the firewood needs to be dried up first for a year or two before you can use them, so I have to start my own “fire”!!
