Hi Dawn, Did the vet prescribe any anti-biotics or medication for Cooper's acrolick granuloma? His lesions look serious enough for the treatment. According to our vet, the collar just keeps dogs from chewing but does not cure the condition which happens to most retrievers. Lola suffered the same recurring condition for a couple of years a while back but hasn't had it since she went through medication. Thought I'd share that and also wish you all the best for 2009. :) Rita Hos last blog post..Ho! Ho! Ho! Hi Rita, I didn't know this condition is very common with retrievers. We did take him to the vet in November and was prescribed antibiotics and some ointment. The lesions healed up a little and now they got worse. Actually the new collar is not working either. Yes, we are bringing him in this Friday for his vet appointment.
