The assignments have begun
I will be joining my brother and my parents in Beijing this coming June and also visit other cities while we are in China. It’s going to be a short 2 weeks look-see, look-see trip. Yes, I’m excited to balik thong-san!
My bro is sponsoring my trip, however, he is smart. I have to do the homework for him. See lah, nothing is free, you know! I need to check out the hotels and tours. My mom would like to stay in one of those many courtyard style hotels in Beijing. I have been scanning through those websites and will have to decide which one I want to reserve.
Then comes to the tours. I know it’s cheaper to book the tours while in China, but my parents, bro and I don’t speak mandarin. Dielah! Sure get slaughtered by the Chinese! Now, I’m debating to book them online or while we are there. Something for me to think about. There are a couple more months left but I soon get a decision. My parents have already decided which cites they will be visiting. And I think the last stop is to visit my dad’s kampung.
After the 2 weeks in China, I will be in Ipoh for a week plus, than to Spore for a few days to hand over the souveniers my sis wants us to get for her. Yeah, one of them is a rock/brick or something along that specimen, from the Great Wall!!!! And a ton of pics that she already requested us to take. She can’t join us, and by the way, she is our itinerary planner. Hence, have to make her happy. :)
Yes, I’m so looking forward to meet my parents again and see my bro. The last I saw him was 2005, I think. It will be a nice little reunion minus my sis. :(

It’s your bro and parents live in Msia?. You better ask them to book the tour from Msia,it’s much cheaper compare from booking here..The last time around CNY we (my sis and mom) plan to go to Beijing and serounding county….for 10 days cost about RM5K,everything including…makan,local bus,hotel and so on somemore..go wt MAS not Air Asia…. my sister hate AS so much said sit until her back patah !! hahaha!! AirAsia very cheap but service very lousy and seat also very pariah one! Hubby wanna to visit China too next year,maybe I’m going to go from KL to China..usually the travel agency have Expo at KLCC every other months..
Beachlover, book the tours in M’sia? Mhmmmm….I will have to think about that. Don’t want my parents to do so much. It is a good suggestion from you tho. Thanks. My parents and bro are going by AirAsia and I will be taking my first Air Asia flight from china to KL. It will be a good experience since I heard so much about this no frills airline.

Remember when you buy things at the Silk market or at the Wall, only pay 10 ~ 15% of the price they give you. Don’t pay anything more than that.
Dadong has very nice Peking Duck except very expensive. If you like the duck a bit fatty then go to Quanjude.

Eh I think cannot simply take any rocks as souvenir from Great Wall. If can I surely take already last time. Instead I got a plated souvenir… written there so and so climbed the great wall on xxx. Hahaha
It’s nice to plan trip. I like to plan trip. I think it would be wise to book the tour now rather than in China. The place is big, language is a barrier… you can check out Virtual Tourist site.
