Those darn frogs/toads

I have not exactly seen the boys eating one of these. Apparently, depending on the dog’s stomach, it’s harmless consuming these ugly amphibians.
I saw this dark brown ugly looking thing while out picking doggy doodoo on our yard. I have seen more than one before and also the green little ones. I know dogs eat them and all they will get from eating these frogs/toads is foaming in the mouth. Unless it is doing some thing really bad to the dogs’ stomachs like vomitting, seizures, oozing blood then I will have to send them to the vet hospital. These amphibians do have some toxins in their body that is poisoning to dogs. I guess depending on the type of frogs/toads, but don’t take my word on it though, it’s just my two cents. I do see the boys chewing on some stuff in their mouths when we are outside on the backyard and when I say ‘drop it’, they will chew even faster, then swallow. So I’m assuming they were chewing on these frogs or might not. And so far, no foaming in their mouth except for Ranger, just some. GROSS!

Stanley tried to eat frogs several times too..Each time he puts it in his mouth I think the frog release liquid and Stanley quickly threw it out and feels like puking..Milo on the hand doesn’t eat them but wants to play with them if the frog don’t move he don’t have any interest in the frog if the frog jumps than Milo has interest to play with the frog that’s all.

Stanley is not greedy then. My dogs every thing is edible to them, Ranger especially. If we are out walking and he finds a piece of torn up pizza box where there are cheese stuck to the box, he will pick that piece of cardboard and try to chew it.

Yes, dogs do eat little frogs. Must be tasty to them but then Labs are known to eat every thing in sight…they are sort of garbage collectors. Oh and I don’t like them kissing me now, too.

hahaha, two days in a row…I am so geli….but still wanna read….
I know it’s geli but these frogs are hopping all over the place now…I think they are trying to find warmer places to hibernate since getting colder

I think it’s not all dogs that would eat frogs….i guess my dogs are just too damn greedy!

LMAO..this is too funny..i mean the way you wrote the post. It is gross and I didn’t know why dogs eat them. Eh..if they tasted weird or bad..why would the dogs eat them again eh?

I still think my dogs are very greedy. They eat anything that looks edible to them…even dirt!
