Mr. Oak in pieces

28 August 2007 by Two Crazy Dogs

img_0291.JPGimg_0293.JPGThe Ciy came about an hour ago and Mr. Oak tree is now in pieces and chewed up.  The workers left about 6 or 7 logs, root and the stump on the yard and business was over.  Not sure was it because it was so close to lunch that they had to leave the logs and the rest there and come back later to complete the job.  It might just be it, too  - we need to remove the root and logs ourselves.  There are storms rolling in to our county right now.   Looks like we are going to have another rock and roll evening.

There - free fire wood for you this winter.

Lucky the tree did not hit your house.

Btw I got a tag for you.

Yeah, Uncle Lee said make them to log seats - great idea! Anyway, if we were to use it for firewood, we need to let it dry for at least 2 years - it’s too damn wet!

wow…quite a horrible storm you had there, huh?

Hi NyonyaPenang, thanks for coming by. Yes, we made on national news again! We are lucky our house is still in one piece. No damages except for a big hole on the front yard.

Thats good the city came by to remove the tree. Hope they don’t bill you for that.

Our trees are pretty young so our house has no worries for the moment.

And we have some nasty storms down this way the last couple of weeks too.

Well, I hope the city will not bill us for that on top of what we pay them every month?

    Hi Dawn

Luckily nothing happened to your house. Stay safe!

Hi JT, thanks! We are glad our house missed that timber.
