Cleaning her out!

By | April 20, 2010

It’s Tuesday night, 10:45 p.m. and I’m still up. Yes, very rare of me to stay up late on a work week. Reason being I’m making sure I am really done going to the bathroom. You must be wondering what is going on right? I’m actually cleaning out my colon for tomorrow’s colonoscopy (wrong spelling, I know) procedure at noon. So why have to do this so early at my age??  I don’t have to get this done till I reach 50.

Well, last week I went for my annual physical. I didn’t really wanted to go but the man kept saying I should since it’s free. I did and my big mouth told my doc about blood in my stools – fresh blood. She asked a bunch of questions like since when which started somewhere in December or January and mainly on constipation crap. Then all the external checking and found nothing. So she said I need to get the colon checked out plus all blood count check.  Filled up some forms, made the appointment for tomorrow 1:10 pm and a load of instructions to follow.

Monday I have already started on a low fiber diet, no raw veggies or fruits and nuts. I really loaded up with carbs! Felt good though eating all the carbs and protein I want. Yesterday still the same but load up on water. Today is the worse. No solid food at all. I’m on liquid diet since this morning.  Late this afternoon took the prescription laxatives and the so-damn-hard-to-drink mixture. At least the nurse told me I could mix the mixture with Crystal Light lemonade. That takes some of the horrible salty taste away but a whole gallon every 15 minutes is awful.  I’m so lemonade out.

I drank tons of water this morning and also some Gatorade too. With this liquid diet I surely don’t need any fat burner pill to loose some weight but honestly this is not how I want to lose weight. I’m only losing water and muscles. I thought it’s not too bad going on liquid diet but it’s NOT. I’m achy and the headache is not going away since this morning.

Tomorrow morning 4 hours before my procedure time, I have to finish up the rest of the jug, another gallon. I can say I’m 70% “cleaned” out now! :) DB will drive me to the hospital since I will be sedated during the procedure. DB says the whole procedure will take about 20 -30 minutes including prep time.

I’m such a loser for I cannot even go a day without food!!! How the heck to fast lah like that. Can’t wait to get this procedure over with so I can go back to eating…..curry noodles that’s what I want! :-)   Well, I hope all is well and it’s just torn tissue in the colon and nothing major.

I had blood stool too but I think because I ate too heaty stuff.

How are you? How’s the result? Hope everything’s ok.

Everything’s good – clean as a whistle except for a hemmi (hemeroid).
