Tickets for 2nd segment

Db bought his tickets for the MSP/SIN/MSP segment this afternoon.  He had to pay the full price of $1700 for his ticket coz he refused to take the flights that have 2 stops - San Francisco and Detroit.  That is all set.  I even changed my seats to sit next to him.

I logged into MAS online and wanted to book the flight for our 2nd segment SIN/KUL/SIN.  I have to book our ticket separately because DB will be leaving a week earlier then I am.  His return flight to MSP is December 2.  For DB’s ticket I picked the 6:45 a.m., November 18 departure from SIN to KUL, and December 1 departure from KUL/SIN at 10:45 p.m.  By the way, these times will be the same for mine, too.

As I was ready to purchase the tickets, I had to choose a method of delivery of the tickets.  What???  No E-ticket??  I looked at the choices and there are only 2 choices:

  1. Pick up at one of the MAS’ offices in Singapore, or
  2. Changi Airport, Singapore.

I didn’t complete my booking with MAS online.  I am not going to travel 8K miles and knowing that my flight for KUL leaves at 6:45 a.m. and I do not have my tickets in my hands, is a no no for me.  Who knows what time this MAS office opens - you know, maybe they have to sembahyang (pray) and cannot open the office till 7 a.m. or later.

I will call my friend’s travel agent and see if she can get the 2nd segment tickets for us.  Tomorrow is Labor Day.  So, it will have to be Tuesday.

I still have to stock up on my Zoloft :D

Hey, what is this Zoloft thing. Diet pills ?

Zoloft is another brand for all these anti-depressant/anxiety pills that are currently advertising on TV. They are suppose to calm your nerves, anxiety….in other words, I call them the “happy pills”.

It’s a shame that MAS still haven’t implement the ticketless system. They talked about cutting cost, cannot make profit, bla… bla… bla… and yet nothing is done effectively.

Jam, I guess that is why it’s still call MAS.

Wowee… USD1,700 for a ticket. That is pricey. Then again, it is the price one pays for a direct flight.

Last year, when I was in the States briefly, I booked my flight home Houston-San Francisco-Hong Kong-Kuala Lumpur, I was not given an e-ticket either. Of course with paper ticket, you always have to pay a little extra.

MAS counters should be open all the time in an airport like Changi. However, I can understand where you are coming from. I rather see the tickets in my hand than worry about it throughout the flight to Singapore. It is best to get your friend’s agent to do it. There is still time for your friend’s agent to mail the 2nd segment tickets to you.

    All the best to you.

Thanks, JT. Hubby said he will pay whatever price to fly direct. He does not like all the hassles of all the stop overs.

Why you need those “happy pills” ?You are on of those who goes on a rampage on board the plane, is it (air rage)
Or those that must have their two feet firmly planted on the ground?
Or you are so piss off with MAS that you are going to attack the ground staff in Changi? Hahhahaha

Aiyah, just kidding. Traveling with Mr. Picky is gonna be “fun” from past experience.

That is why you must take SQ- Singaopore Airlines. Clean toilets and sexy, wonderbra boosted girls in kebayas. Instead of loa kok kok ladies in North West. Looking at them really potong steam.
    hahhaa

Hahahahaha, problem with SIA is they don’t have flights from MSP to SIN. Must go to LA - lagi expensive that way.
