This week’s theme is smelly. I found someting, according to my hubby’s books, is super smelly.

Shrimp Sauce. He totally hates it when I add it in the pot with other meat, cook it and he will be complaining up a storm. Before I cook something with shrimp sauce, I will open the all windows, light up all the scented candles I can find, and burn some incense, too. In addition, shut the doors to the rooms. He will eat the cooked up dish, but has to tell me how much it stinks first. When he eats it, he said it tastes really good. o.O

Tell him he will get use to it in time to come. That is if you use it often enough.

Yeah, he knows that, but he will always tease me when I bring that darn bottle out. You know us, we tease each other a lot.

It is powerful if you are not use to the smell

Hi Dawn,
How are you? I tried calling you on Thurs because I have nothing to do, guess you were busy =)? It’s okay though, I will try calling you again sometime.
So how’s this shrimp sauce like? Is it same as belacan? I cook with fish sauce and it’s stinky!

Hi Nicole, Yeah, I got your voicemail the next day. thanks for calling. I was not feeling good on Thursday and Friday I was in bed at 8:30. Only when I’m sick I’m in bed that early. The cold doesn’t seem to go away. I just bought this bottle of shrimp sauce. So I’m not sure if it really stinks and if it is the same as belachan.

The prep for my trip is getting there. Still buying stuff to take home. Trying to get as much stuff online as possible. However, I still need to go to MOA to get some stuff.

hhaha ang moo all the same just the same my hubby , wat you can do stir fry it in the micowave so the smell keep in the mirowave ,I do this with balacha and black bean sauce he love to eat but he hate the smell ,the whole house just so stink OMG I myself also can’t tahan la.

Put in the microwave? I tried heating food with fish sauce, belachan, those smell almost got him on the floor! But now I don’t care. I forwarn him and tell him I’m going to stink up the house.
