Van Halen’s Concert

29 October 2007 by Two Crazy Dogs

Both DB and I wanted to go for Van Halen’s concert held on October 25 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.  We saw it advertised back July.  We asked SD and BF, they wanted to go, too.  In the end, we all had to read, hear and watch the reviews on TV, radio and papers.  Per ticket  coz $100+.  Crazy.  It was way too, too spendy for us.  It seems like it was hell of a concert.  Everyone who called in to KQRS station were raving how good it was coming from a group of 50-something souls.  DB was looking forward to it, but we thought we could use that money on something else.

    Hi Dawn

Paying $100+ for a concert ticket can be wasteful unless it is something that you are passionate about.

At this point of time in life where money is needed for necessary things, attending concerts (where tickets cost more than $100) is a luxury for me. (Now, if I were back in Malaysia and my concert ticket costs RM100 - RM150, that would be a different story). haha

    Hi J.T.

I agree with you. If I’m in M’sia, I wouldn’t mind it. I remembered the ticket for Michael Jackson’s concert in Spore was SGD$80+ and we still paid for it. It was once in a life time for us and I know I will never go again if opportunity comes knocking on the door again.

Just buy the CD, lah. :)

Aiya, there is a big difference listening live and the CD. Live concert gives you a good adrenalin rush :D
