What a kick ass bug!
By Three Crazy Dogs | December 12, 2007
Today is the 3rd day I’m hooked to this stomach bug. On Monday early afternoon, I asked DB to take me to Urgent Care right away. I was already going to the bathroom so many times I totally lost count of it, and how many times I threw up, I couldn’t remember. Whatever water I drank, it came right back up.
On my “Deathbed”. On Monday afternoon after the visit to the Urgent Care.
The doc prescribed me anti-vomiting pills which put me to sleep. The first one I took I threw up after an hour. Took another one and was fine, but through out the day and night and Tuesday till today, I still have that nauseous feeling. I didn’t want to take the pills anymore. What I need now is some solid food in me.
When I woke up this morning at 4:30 a.m., I was practically shaking. I was so weak, I needed food. Had the left over chicken soup and Gatorade. MIL told DB to get me Gatorade to replenish my electrolytes. I just had a cup of hot Milo with a piece of toast. A remedy from my friend, Stef. I’m also cooking a pot of porridge for lunch and dinner. Think I put too much rice, so added more water to it and it’s now twice the amount I had wanted it to be. I put in ground turkey since I don’t have ground pork; chopped up carrots and spinach. Stef told me to add a few slices of ginger for “wind” so I did. Only Chinese folks will know what the meaning of “wind” means.
I still think I got this bug from my #3 nephew. Here a picture of him with my sis and I at my mom’s house before DB and I departed Ipoh.

Of course, in this picture he is as alive as ever. Should have seen him walking out of the cab into the hotel when I saw him on Thursday, Dec 6, half dead, with his long jammies and holding on to his puke bag. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to take a picture of him.
Ok, I got side tracked, I was going to say I am very sure I got this stomach flu from this little guy coz when we were at LOT 10 for dinner on that Thursday, he could not finished his Milo and I was holding on to it, so I sipped at it and eventually threw it away. From then onwards, I thought my dizziness and all the lightheadedness were all due to lack of sleep.
Who knows, I might have gotten it in the plane. Wherever I got it from, I’m hoping it will go away quickly.
