Claypot Tofu

I took up this challenge from my sis. She sent me this recipe which I actually asked her for it. Told DB I will make it for our dinner on Monday.
Looked through the refrigerator, and low and behold, I was out of so many ingredients for this dish – oyster sauce, soy bean paste, shroomies, and tofu.
Met with Wombie’s Burrow on Sunday and we went shopping. She took me to this Asian store, United Noodles in Mpls which I have heard of a million times but never been there. We bought a shit load of stuff there and many of the items were much, much cheaper than Cub Foods. I had to buy fried tofu for this dish since DBster does not like plain old unfried tofu.
So, sis, here’s the dish which I omitted the dark soy sauce and added some chicken, too, for us carnivores.

When your blog came on I thought that I went to the wrong one. Took a double look.

    Bravo !

So how does it taste like ?
“ngam wai hou” or not ?
    What did DB say ?

I have posted a few more dishes. This time with some stinky stuff that your DB just hates. But you will love.

My pictures were not so good. Infact your picture is much better than mine. Maybe because I have no time to take a good shot. The boys and H all waiting to attack once the food is ready.

SA – will be missing out a lot if I’m a vegan.

Simmie – it tasted really yummy, too and the white rice complement the wonderful flavors of the dish.

AN – hahaha – gotcha. I almost forgot to take a picture. Thanks!!

Taste really good and “wai hou” very the “ngam”. DB said “excellent”.

My sickening H said yours looks anaemic ! Told him you didnot put in the dark soy sauce.

“No wonder, anyway yours(mine) looks better.”

    Hmmm….Must sayang him tonight.

Glad DB likes it. Since you have the oystyer sauce and stuff maybe I will give you some more challenges !
    Are you game ?

Of coz your H gonna say yours is better lah. He’s afraid you will go on strike and not cook for him.

DB and I don’t really care what the food looks like as long it taste good. So, if I have to cook for your H, habislah I, he will critize me to hell!!! :)

    Yeah, bring them on challenges.
