The theme for today’s PhotoHunt is Wooden.

My picture of Wooden was taken when I was in Malaysia last year. This is an old wooden house I saw in Ipoh. I can’t remember what’s the name of the road. I saw this old wooden house next to her brick counterparts which I’m sure is an eyesore to its neighbors. She looks old and shakey with the aluminum sheets for roofing. When I see this house, it makes me treasure my hometown even more than I had. It’s weird that now I’m living overseas, every thing I saw when I was back in my hometown were a gem to me. Yeah, I have to admit I miss my home, family and friends very much.
Lovely!! My grandma’s house was a wooden attap house long, long time ago.. I miss home too
Soo cool I love old buildings
That is a beautiful shot. It’s amazing the differences in homes from one world to the next isn’t it? Great job on this week’s theme.
Happy Hunting!

My so called life
Life’s Impression
I love old wooden houses in kampung… I don’t hate the modern house like those in KL but hate to pay the mortgage.
Wow. Gorgeous photo.
There is no place like home.
Great choice for this week! Thanks for stopping by and posting a comment. Have a wonderful week.

Wooden Staircase
Wooden Doorway
It’s a charming house. The owners may be poor, but they obviously have pride and are neat and tidy.
it’s difficult to see houses like that these days…the last time I saw something similar was in the older parts of Port Klang.
reminds me of my grandmother’s house in butterworth. looks something like that but back then n living in the kampung area, this is common. although i do miss the home-y feeling it had attached to it, i was damn glad that my mother had the builders in to fix a new toilet! lol wasn’t really a fan of the jamban. HAHA!!
thanks for sharing dear….i miss home very much too.
Can’t you find a wooden house in US?
Yes, but out in the country.
The roof may not be too good now, but that house has been much loved.
Look so melayu..
I can find this kind of house here in Indonesia.. LOL
We have some old wooden houses still standing where I live… they are all diminishing!
