Life with the Two Crazy Dogs

DB’s Imperial Navy boot. He’s been wearing the cast the whole day today. With the cast on, he is able to help me unload groceries, cook the chicken for our weekly sandwiches, and some minor chores - feeding the boys their carrots and apples.

He was burning DVDs this morning and not elevating his foot according to the docs instructions. Well, now he is paying for it. His ankle is still very swollen and bleeding. I’m guessing it’s pretty normal but he said he need to sit his ass down tonight. I took his cast off and gave him the ice pack, and freeze more packs in the freezer. I told him to sit there and watch his show “Click”, and if he needs anything he should holler at me. I brought his crutches out for him in case he needs them for potty breaks. He said I’m always thinking about something. That’s why I have so much gray!!!

I’m hoping by tomorrow, he is able to flex his ankle. We also needs to figure out what to put over the cast when he gets to work. He deals with hydraulic fluids all day long and he does not want the cast to get oil on them. I might have to go to Snyders or Walgreens tomorrow to see if I can find something for it. Not sure if there is such a thing as a cast cover. I will try my best tomorrow provided that the stores are open since it’s Easter.
