My first attempt making Chinese soup

Again, Saturday I went to Cub Foods for my usual groceries.  I saw a good deal on a pack of whole chicken.  Right of I thought of making a pot of soup.  Simmie gave a few packets of ginseng; my mom gave me a bag of wolfberries (kei chi).  Part of the ingredients are at home.  I went to the Asian store after Cubs and bought my usual pork balls, sour mustard (haam choi), carrots, tofu and found red dates.

Here was my concoction of carrots, chicken breast and thighs, wolfberries, red dates, and ginseng root, all dumped into the crockpot.
