- Blogging on my life events & whatever that comes to my mind!
I was reading Cat’s and Gertrude’s blogs and see how much they like the products they bought from MyTasteofAsia. I, too, ordered some items and within a week, they arrived this afternoon.
Delimas Prawn Noodle paste; Rasaku Nasi Lemak Mix; Delimas Curry Laksa Paste; ChanHong Sambal Ikan Bilis; Delimas Crispy Prawn Chili; and Cheong Kim Chuan Sambal Rojak sauce
I told DB he will be having some kind of noodles this weekend. Most probably prawn noodles! I can’t wait to try out all of them. DB looked at the ikan bilis and asked what it is. Well, it’s anchovies, dear. One thing he does not like is anchovies. I must find a way to make the ikan billis not stinky so that he will eat them!
Wah wah lau hau sui (drooling).
Maybe you can fry ikan bilis sambal with lotsa red onions to make it sweet. Hehe
They arrived on time huh? I am glad that you got your order. Yeah the sambal ikan bilis is good, it doesn’t stinks though, I add some santan and sugar to it. But you can hardly see the anchovies though, it’s too little.
Let me know about the crispy prawn chili, it looks so spicy. haha
The nasi lemak paste is good too, since I dont cook so much rice, I only used half a packet. I added ginger and shallot for more fragrance, it’s optional though.
It’s so funny how Malaysian could never ;ive without their chilies, sambal and spice. =)
When I got my order, my hubby was teasing me about buying only spicy sambals and pastes!!
Can’t wait to see you on Sat.

Dawn,
I’m sure you and DB will enjoy the Prawn Mee… They are good, imtellingyou…. Bila makan, ingat sama Cath ya…
The crispy prawns chili is the best. I will add a teaspoon of it to my fried rice or fried mee hoon. And not forgetting the Curry Laksa. It is as close as you can get from the one back home.
