Countdown to Vegas
By Three Crazy Dogs | April 2, 2008
So my vacation days are all confirmed with my boss and other folks at work. Corrine and Tammy are happy that I’m going. I’m really pumped myself about this coming trip to Vegas. Tammy said she will get the air tickets for me through Sun Country Airlines. I looked up Expedia.com, the flight will leave at 7 am from Minneapolis to Vegas, a direct flight. It will cost $316. Not bad of a price at all. I only hope Tammy is able to get a cheaper rate from her friend who is the VP of the said airline.
What have I been doing at work besides waiting for more work to do?? I was searching for things to do in Las Vegas. We will definitely be wathcing a Cirque du Soleil show, going to the Venetian for gondola rides, Bellagio hotel where the water fountain thing you see at the end of “Ocean’s Eleven”, walk the strip in the night, visit Hoover Dam, Aladdin hotel, MGM, and way too many hotels we want to visit to list down here. This website has all the great attractions all done on the strip.
Anyway, I really want to take a coach to Grand Canyon which on the way stops by at Hoover Dam. It is an all day tour. The next one I am going to get a ticket for is the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I think I will only take the “Driving Experience” package not the “Ultimate Driving Experience”. The Ultimate is where I can get into a stock car and actually drives it. It is an all day thing. The first package, “Driving Experience” will take me to the speedway, too, however, I won’t be driving the stock car. Instead, I am the passenger only.
Now, the next thing I have always thought of doing is skydiving. I told DB about his today he was like “You are kidding, right?” No, sir, I’m not. It sure doesn’t look that bad. It’s just a matter of having enough guts to do it. My friend, Wendy, did it, if I remembered right. The jump is tandem, of course, with an instructor, and all equipment are provided plus instructions too before the take off. The jump will be 2 miles above the earth, free fall for about 45 seconds and then the parachute opens. Won’t that be thrilling?? Yes, I’m an adrenaline rush kind of person. I am a risk taker, and DB is fine with it. I know he is not wild about that activity I am so crazy about, but he said I can do what I want to do.
Then, since I’m already in Vegas I should make a trip to the Liberace Museum. Yeah, I know this guy was one weird pianist, but he was so good, damn frigging talented that I have always wanted to see him live, but sorry la, he is long gone and the next best thing I suppose is to visit his museum. The tickets are not cheap either.
Nothing is cheap in Vegas anymore, that’s what I was told. I will be spent broke when I return from Lost Wages!

Grand Canyon is the most awesome jaw dropping sight which you will never ever forget. Though it was 14years back since i was there but i can still remember it very well the spectacular view. If u want take a helicopter ride thru the Canyon too. Have fun.

As CYTang said Grand Canyon is awesome and unforgetable.
If given a chance again I would like to visit the upper stream of the Colorado river. The canyon there is different.
Bring a hat coz there is no shelter around. Anyway that is what I remembered while I was there long ago.

simmie : i wish I could, I dont’ have enough. Most of it were used up for the trip home last year.
AN: I really wish they will do this Grand Canyon thing too. Keeping my fingers crossed.
CY: That’s what my sis said too. I need to persuade the rest to say yes to it. Taking a chopper for that tour, hmmm, gotta think about that $$$ first.

Hi Dawn, WHAT? You want to do skydiving? Holy Smoke!
Me? When I dive from the top board at a swimming pool, I get nervous, or stand at the view gallery at the top of Empire State Building….you sure one adventurous, daring lady.
Are you going to hit the tables at Caesars, Trumph casinos?
If you have coffee with Tony Benette or Patsy Cline give them my best regards, *wink*.
Stay easy Dawn, and good luck at the tables. Just bring along 60 big ones should see you thru, ha ha. UL.
Uncle, I have always thought of skydiving for the longest time. Watch too much TV, you know. I sure wants to the the opportunity to do it. Will I chicken out? I might not coz i like to take risks, however, I don’t like to gamble. So I won’t be hitting the tables. Think i will use that money to get some adrenaline rush! Thanks, Uncle!

Anyway, I spent too little time there, so I didn’t really see all the places you’ve said.
The days until you fly off would be draggy… haha..

IF you like Japanese Food, make sure you go to Safari (I think) that is a Japanese Restaurant there, the food is to die for. I really like their tofu cheese cake.
If you have chance, yes, you should go G.C., I wentthere twice, very nice.
