Pet Insurance

13 May 2008 by Two Crazy Dogs

We humans have insurance for our medical needs.  Pets need insurance, too.  Vet bills are not cheap.  Where I send my boys for their exams, each annual visit will come up to $200 plus excluding all the other meds like pain killers, antihistamines, and glucosamine.   I also include a wellness program for each of the boys that checks for their glucose, liver, kidneys, blood count, and whatever else that are on the program.  The program itself cost $250 each.  Now I wish I had bought pet insurance for the boys.

With pet insurance under these boys’ names, the wellness program and the other meds that are prescribed to them will be paid by the insurance.  But since the boys are at an age (eight and nine years old respectively), it is a bit too late to buy insurance for them.   There is a maximum limit when insurance can cover for your pet.

If anyone who is interested in obtaining pet insurance and resides in the U.K., there is a website call money.co.uk where you can compare a number of pet insurance providers for your pets.  Whether it is for a dog, cat, horse, a bird or any exotic animal, one should get a pet insurance for your own sake.  This website will list all the providers who offers online discounts, the maximum and minimum amount of pet fees the companines will cover that best suits yours needs.

On top of comparing pet insurance, this website also compares credit cards companies for the lowest APR, percentage of balance transfers, or any cash back rewards.  These are popular credit cards like VISA or Mastercard.  Money.co.uk allows you to get your quote immediately which helps you to decide quicker.
