Pet damage lawn

Comments Off

I think my dogs pee acid instead of urine!! LOL!!  Actually their pee is high in nitrogen which makes the green grass turn brown or bald.  In other words their pee burns the grass, that’s why I say they pee acid! :D

The front lawn of our house is very badly damage.  Our landlord came over to repair the damage spots.  There were a lot of areas they needed to reseed those affected spots.  I didn’t get to take pictures of the “before” and “after” coz they came the same day they sent us the email telling us they are coming out now!  Here are the instructions they gave us on how to take care of the newly seeded spots.  I wish they placed stakes and strings around those re-seeded spots, but they didn’t.

Now I’m waiting for DB to roll out the water hose, hook it up to the tap, which he said he will get it out yesterday!  Man!!! I tell you, this guy has no damn blardy motivation at all, or I’m just wired with extra high voltage!

Anyway, the purpose of the water hose is to water down the dog pee 3 times the volume of pee.  This way the “acid” pee will spread out and not sit on one spot.  Nothing beats cement!!!!

Weekend project

DB got super busy last weekend. The land lord brought over the shelving for our pantry on Friday. Remember how we stuff all the pantry boxes into the pantry when we first moved it?  Here’s a picture of it, the total mess of a pantry:

DSC02934

We took everything out to a super bright, clean pantry.
DSC02992

And the man got to business, putting up the first shelf and he then told me to go do whatever I needed to do.
DSC02993

In other words, he kicked me out of his territory! Good deal to me coz I got to write reviews on safe diet pills and not forgetting FB games in between.

Man hard at work
DSC02994

Of course I have to come downstairs to busybody a little….mainly to take pictures for blogging material!  Here it is, almost done.
DSC02995

And all shelves put up.
DSC02997

He said he can now cross ”putting up pantry shelves” off his to-do list.

My job now is to put these onto the shelves!!!
DSC02987

I pushed all the boxes back into the pantry and whatever on the counter onto the shelvings.  I am taking Wednesday and Friday off this week, hopefully I can unpack most of all these boxes and make the pantry, a real PANTRY! :)

< Done with the old house >

Comments Off

Past weekend DB and I worked on the old house, to clean it up for the realtor. I had mentioned we left a lot of junk in there. We had to get them all out including the stuff we left for donation. DB and BF moved the junk and donation stuff out of the house to Salvation Army and to pile the rented trailer with garbage to be hauled back to our new house.   We are cheap, we didn’t want to spend $230 to rent a dumpster from the trash company.  We are going to get rid of the garbage and recycle little at a time from our new place.  I went about cleaning the house, it beats any natural weight loss products out there – sweating my butt off. Vacuuming a house that has not been vacuumed for more than 2 months totally sucks.  We didn’t use our Dyson vacuum cleaner, instead we used the industrial wet/dry vac we had bought back when the basement was flooded.  That wet/dry vac was a little cumbersome to use but it sure sucks up the crap good.  It took me 3 hours to get the entire house, top and bottom floors, bathrooms and clearing up the refrigerator cleared up.

Here is a picture looking into the dining room/kitchen.  Can you see the “white” square carpet by the counter?  That’s where we put a big rug there for the dogs.  What a contrast of color = dirty carpets we have.

Another look of the living room where you can see the color difference in the carpeting.
0601001535.jpg

Now for the last shot of the house that we didn’t care to take of….
downsized_0601001536.jpg

That’s the backyard. The last it was mowed was in early April. We didn’t bother to get it mowed since we were already looking for a place to move out to.  The backyard is like a frigging prairie.  With all the rain we had and still do, it’s a tick haven out there.  The vegetation growing along the cement patio are strawberries.  I started growing them in a big container last year.  Somehow the seeds must have “germinated” into that area.

We finally handed the house keys and garage openers over to the bank’s realtor yesterday afternoon.  Honest to God, I still have some junk in the house but I hid them behind the old dryer and some stuff we couldn’t figure out where to throw, we left it in some bushes!  The heck with it, we are done and out of there.  We wish the realtor good luck….it’s a nice house albeit some fixing up and put in better windows, the house will sell since it’s in a very nice neighborhood.  So, farewell old house,  another new chapter of our lives starts.

The cluttered garage

Comments Off

It sure looks like we are clutter freaks! :) I know I am. DB was not, see the word “was”? Yep, when I first moved to this country, living in his clutter free apartment, he was always picking up all the time. That aptment was really well organized and totally no clutter. But after I came and not too long, the clutter started and he too picked up my super bad trade, slowly but surely.

That’s our garage right now. At least we moved more then enough to get my car in. His truck is parked outside for now till we can clear up the other side of the garage.
0527001917.jpg

Our mission hopefully this June is to sell the riding and push mower, weed wackers. The riding mover comes with the fertilizer spreader and don’t know what else. Man’s toys, I have no idea what they are called. Next, we also need to sell the washer and dryer that are sitting all the way back against the wall along the refrigerator. That refrigerator has been with him forever and it works damn good. So that we are keeping. Now, I can’t make up my mind if I want to sell the  NordiacTrac elliptical machine.  It’s also sitting all the way behind, covered up by boxes!  I know I want to get rid of the Bowflex and a heavy oak desk.  That sucker is definitely going!  There are still some stuff left in the old house’s garage.  I think there are more of his tools and a dozen fishing poles and his tackle boxes.  Yeah, that man sure loves to fish and cannot part with his fishing poles.  Also there are some boxes of ammos for his guns in the old garage.

Oh, you see the two blocks of wood on the lower left coner?  We have more in the old house.  They are all oak wood, great for fire places but since no one wants them and we don’t have a wood fireplace, we are going to still bring them over to this new garage….the man said, “just in case we buy a fire pit.”  o.O  I wanted to just leave them in the old house but the realtor said everything that belongs to us has to go!  So, we have to haul them over today.

Pictures of the inside (1)

Comments Off

Here are a few pictures of the inside of the house. Just to remind you, I didn’t pick up the house or put things away when I took these pictures…clutter galore!

The entryway…..stairs facing the front door. I think according to fung shui, it’s not good. All the chi will flow right out the door!
DSC02943

Another view of the entryway. (Ranger taking a siesta.)
DSC02956

The fireplace in the living room. The big hole above the fireplace is meant for a TV, but the old fashion big screen TV is damn big as you can see on the right, can’t fit into that hole. The fireplace is run by gas/electric.  We will put up Igor (the deer head) to fill up the hole instead of what we have up there now!  The clock is for the kitchen.
DSC02941

The living room. Our furniture is too darn big for the room!  Igor sitting on top of the TV for now.
DSC02939

Here is the dining room. The one and only TV in the house now that is digital. It is now hooked to a digital antenna. No satelite or cable yet.
DSC02944

The kitchen. First door next to refrigerator is the bathroom (just the toilet and sink) and the door next to it is the utility room (furnace, water heater and softener).
DSC02946

The pantry without the shelves is under the stairs.
DSC02934

The spot for coffee and toast. Underneath that table is where the water bowl for the dogs. We feed the dogs against the wall where the recycle can is (with black bag).
DSC02948

The room to the left is the storm shelter/room. Door across it is the 1/4 bathroom, then the utility room and then the door to the garage (not shown). We put a rug and a stool to put on and take off our shoes.
DSC02949

The storm shelter is now a storage area for dog chow, vacuum cleaner, shampooer, paper towels, coolers, etc.
DSC02950

The kitchen sink area and picture below is where the pantry is.

As you can see, pretty much everything in the house is white in color and we have already dirtied some of the walls, cabinets and doors.

Pictures of upstairs will come later… :)

< Junk for Salvation Army >

Comments Off

Speaking of junk, we need to clean out the old house. Remember I mentioned earlier we are leaving whatever we don’t want in the house? Not anymore, every thing that we do not want or does not belong to the house (appliances) have to go. The bank has a realtor come by last week and he (realtor) gave us an offer of a “relocation fee” if we clean up the house (broom swept) ready for the market, his company will send us a check of 2K. Btw, our realtor bailed out on us, that biatch. Whatever offer we had on the buyer months ago was history. So now, our bank is nice enough to let us take our time to clean up for their realtor to sell the house on their behalf. We told the realtor we will get the house clean up by June 1st. Will hand over the keys and garage door openers to him on that day and that will be the last of the time we see that house.

All the junk I have left downstairs for Goodwill have to go, I have to send them to Goodwill. My coworker told me to call Salvation Army (SA) and they will come by with their truck to collect the items, instead of sending them to Goodwill. Goodwill pick and chooses if they will come pick the stuff up. I have so much crap downstairs ranging from cushions, exercise ball, cheap digital frame from a contest, lamps, furniture, books, clothes, jackets, 1980′s video cameras, ceramic pedestals, glass table, dog collars, beds and the list is forever. Have to make a note to check SA online to schedule an appointment for pickup and if there are any NO items included in the pickup list.

The cooking range

Comments Off

OK I will post pictures of the house later. I want to talk about this first.

This is a brand new stove.  Call me old fashion, I simply hate this modern, electric, flat glass surface stove top.

DSC02905

There are so many DON’TS for using this stove. One of them is cannot use ceramic or glass ware on this type of stove coz it will scratch the glass. Die lah, cannot make clay pot rice! :) Yeah right, like I make them a lot of times but just want to add salt to the wound only :)

DSC02906

Another one is do no slide the pots/pans….well, sometimes I do that just on flat surfaces. With this brand spanking new range top, I dare not even cook with it. There are more: cannot use soap water to clean the surface. It may dull the surface which I’m guessing will take the shininess away! Next, cannot use any 409 or Windex to clean the range top. 409 I use all the time to cut grease. Now I can’t, i dare not even do much frying. What can i use to clean the top is water!!! And buy this special cleaner, Cerema Bryte.  These stuff is not cheap.  Till today almost 1.5 weeks in the new hut, I still have not bought one.  Will have to wait on that.  If spilled food on the stove dried out, need to buy a special utensil to scrape the bugger.  Damn, sam, I just use water and papertowels and used my nails as the scraper with the help of the wet papertowel.

Next is using the burners.  The instruction manual says to use the correct burner size for the pot/pan I’m using and every pot has to have a flat bottom.  Wok with round bottom and place a wok stand on the range top is a NO NO.  if the pot/pan is smaller than the ring, it will burn very fast.  I have some very very small pots/pans which they don’t fit any of the the rings.  So damn mar-farn.

The one on the right with the smaller ring in the bigger ring.  The smaller ring is for smaller pot/pans and just turn the knob the opposite for the small burner but then when I place my wok on the small ring which fits exactly on the ring but then it takes forever to heat up the let alone cook.  And if I turn the knob for the bigger ring (burner) the temperature changes all the time because the wok is way smaller than the big ring.  Totally hate it.  So I use the burner on the left and have been using that burner ever since.

On the back the middle ring is a “warming station”.  Place your food there to keep warm.  I have not try the oven yet.  wanted to yesterday to bake a cake but could not find the mixer and the parts….all are still in boxes since the pantry is not ready.

Honestly, give me the old fashion gas or regular electric stove (gas is better).  They work better and it’s easier to control the “fire” and most importantly, they are easier to clean – soap and water, all kau tim.  DB only used it once, he does not like it either especially what  a klutz he is when it comes to cooking – food spillage all over the stove and counters.

OK, enough whining….I will go look for my cheese to go with my “wine” now. :D

We got what we wanted

Comments Off

I have to say this, God has been watching over DB and I. Ever since we scrambled all over hunting for a place to stay where we can keep the boys, every thing seems to fall through. All till the very dayof signing the rental lease, we don’t know if we can keep Chase. But it all worked out good for us. God answered our prayers.  The landlady picked us even though we weren’t one of the first come first serve lookers. I take it because of our combined salaries our application was approved even though I had to run back to work to fax her a lot of other paperwork to support my new salary.

On the day of the move, we still had no keys to our new place till after 12 noon. I got up quite early to finish up some packing and then take Chase to the vet for his Bordatella (kennel cough) shot. I was crying knowing that he will be going to the kennel in New Prague (Ranger’s breeder). I told the vet if he can help us find a foster home for Chase, the vet was sad too but he said he will call one of his client if he (the client) wants to adopt Chase. Reason is the vet had to put the client’s dog down because of cancer 2 weeks ago. The vet said he will call me if he has news from the client. Till today, no call.

We went to sign the lease at 11 on the day of our move, Wednesday, May 5, and had to go through the house with the land lady and all took more than an hour. We talked to her about temporary letting us keep Chase till we can find a foster home for him. The landlady had a meltdown and immediately said not a problem, we can actually keep him if we want to. She will close one eye. This is because since we are living in a townhome environment, maximum dogs allowed are two. Those are townhome association rules, not her rules. So, we were happy and I praised the Lord silently right then when she told us. No more crying for me. She said if we find that it’s too crowded in the home with 3 of them, let her know. Her SIL is looking at adopting a dog. The landlady said unless someone complains then we have to do something with one of the dogs.

When we got back, Justin, DB’s nephew and my friend’s hubby D were already busy filling the U-Haul moving truck. We rented a 24 foot truck – the biggest. I am glad I don’t have to move any of them boxes and furniture. It’s definitely a back breaker day. I’m sure glad that there were two younger guys to help DB, those two guys who are in lower ab workout everyday kind of guys. DB more or less were the director but helped a lot with the heavier stuff. We didn’t get everything we wanted into the truck. By the time we got to the new house, it was 5:30 pm, i think or it could be 6 pm. While the guys unloaded the truck, I had to go back and forth between the new and old house. Whatever I can pack into my car, I did just that. The final run was to get the dogs. It was 10:30 p.m. when I finally loaded the 3 boys from the old house with their beds, food and food/water bowls into DB’s truck. Those 3 guys back at the new house was unloading the last of the “few” boxes from the truck. My friend’s hubby left earlier since he work the night before and barely had any sleep. So I helped a little when I got back and finally pull the truck door down at 11 p.m. The essential stuff were put in the house, i.e. TV, beds, kitchen, pantry, dining table, chairs, piano, sofa and couple of boxes for the rooms. The rest were dumped into the garage.

Till today, we still have a few more big items to pick up in the old house. The bank’s attorneys are nice to let us take our time to clear the house, take whatever we want. Some of the utilities like electric is still on at the old house since we need electricity to turn the lights on. There is no internet and satelite/cable at our new house but utilities are set up. The landlady is paying for the trash, so we are free from that.

I have taken some pictures of the house basically the kitchen. Just can’t get use to using a so modern stove range. It’s those electric flat glass range. Hate it to the max.

We are slowly settling in – kitchen is set up except for the pantry. We still have our pantry stuff in boxes. The landlady is coming over this weekend to talk about shelving for our pantry and also to bring the plumber to fix the jaccuzzi. Yes, there is a jaccuzzi in the bathroom. DB said he can’t wait to jump into that tub when it’s fixed. This new house has no basement, so a storm room is the replacement just in case of tornadoes.

This house is newer, think it was built in 2005. Barely any trees around. Our unit is at the cul-de-sac, a corner one. So we have the side yard for the boys. I have to put them on leashes all the time now when they want to go out for their business, but sometimes I don’t. The boys are finding it difficult now since they can’t simply go out anytime they want like before in the old house. Now they have to go out only when I or DB sends them out. I still throw the frisbee for Chase. Good thing we are in the end lot, we have the whole of the side and front yard that is basically public access.

The only things we need to get for the house are curtains to darken the room and one for the entry way glass panel. We are hoping the curtains for the room will help reduce the noise from the traffic. We now live right in front of the freeway (35W), a free way that connects north of MN all the way south to Gulf of Mexico in Texas. Also DB is working nights once he gets done with his training next week, he will be sleeping during the day, the curtains will help him sleep, I hope.

I’m very grateful for what we found and all the help we had during our move. There are still a lot of junk I want to clear off and to make our house “a liveable house”. We are thankful for what we got and the good Lord has definitely provided us plenty during and so far, is still providing us. Will update with pictures once we get our internet hook up this weekend.

Stress to the max

Comments Off

Today is Tuesday and we are still in this house, semi packed, still waiting for one application approval from the rental property owner, waiting for the church members to get back to me if they can find a foster or temporary home for the young-un (Chase) and I still have time for blogging!!

Most of my stuff are packed except for bathroom and clothes. DB, no idea what he had packed, his office crap were packed, i know that. We arranged for helpers – my friend’s hubby, DB’s 2 nephews and whoever the nephews can bring with them to help. We also arranged for a moving truck and booked a storage unit for just in case one of the rental properties denied our application…the rental unit we want is much x10 smaller than the other one we saw which we can store a lot more of the bigger items.

We will be bringing the two older boys with us to whichever rental unit we end up with. Chase will be going somewhere which I do not know where. Initially we looked at a house and the owner and his wife were ok and approved our application, and the owner said ok with the 3 dogs. The next day when we were getting ready to leave for the owner’s to drop the rent and deposit check, the owner called to say his wife decided to declined our application because she does not want dogs in the house!!!! Knnb, that almost blew my faith away, and I’m just hanging in there now. I was scrambling to find a place for us 5 and finally made up our decision to only keep the 2 older boys. We were torn….which one(s) to keep…the 2 older ones are more expensive since they are older and the young one is way cheaper.  But we had the two older ones for 10 years and really hard to see them go to another home.  So we decided to give Chase away since he is still young and someone can make a good hunting dog out of him.  He has excellent hunting instincts.  After making our decision, we hunt up the internet for house, townhomes, condos/apts.  Saw a few townhomes (terrace homes) on Sunday and Monday. The last one we saw was yesterday afternoon and she wont get back to us till this afternoon.

The other townhome application was approved but like I said is very small and we have to put most of our stuff in storage (extra cost) and we don’t get to move to the one we want yet till next month. So we thought we will wait for the one we saw yesterday, slightly bigger and has a lot of storage space and of coz the rent is higher.

The entire weekend and up till this moment I’m typing this, I’m still worried, but the man said not to worry, everything will work out and we will be moved out by tomorrow before the sheriff comes knocking on our door and evict us.

One of DB’s nephews will be here later this afternoon. I got some sandwich meat for us coz I know I won’t have time to cook. I even bought plastic cups and use up some custom plastic cups I got from work last week, and paper plates. They are free, what the heck!

The only time I’m not stress is when I’m sitting right in front of the pc with FB games!!! :) Well, also when I walk the boys and especially walking Cooper and Chase…..the walk is way faster than when I walk Ranger.

Here’s a picture of Chasey, probably the last picture I will take of him. Picture taken few days ago after a lot of running and fetching, hence the hanging tongue….this dog lives to fetch.
downsized_0427001639.jpg
One of the church member said he might have his parents take Chasey to northern Iowa where his parents own a hobby farm….big acreage for him to roam around, however, he has to be an outside dog which kinda saddens me, coz Chase is not an outside dog and never has been. I’m not sure, everything with him is still up in the air. I yet to hear from the other lady who arranges foster homes for dogs/cats. Keeping my fingers cross he will have a home to go to by tomorrow night coz tomorrow will be his last day with us. I’m crying now.

And by the way, the three dogs knows something is up. They are extremely clingy. I guess they think we are sending them away for good or we are going somewhere and leaving them.

Will update later.

< New buyer >

Comments Off

The deal with the previous buyer felled through. I don’t blame them I like I had mentioned before. I was not a bit disappointed. The house is already given back to the bank. Then less than five days, the realtor called and wanted to show the house to a very eager buyer. Woohoo…sounds good. The buyer showed up on a Sunday with his family. We had to rush back home to let them in. He had quite a bit of questions for DB – is this the first time we had water in the basement was the only one I remembered! They spent about 20 minutes in the house. I was outside in the backyard with the boys. DB said the buyer is a very nice guy. So, the new week came and on we had good news from our realtor. The eager buyer wants to buy the house AS IS!!! We are not fixing any thing in the house, not even the broken shower faucet in the main bathroom, not tearing the basement walls down….everything is staying as it is.  Yippee!  DB and I signed the PA on Tuesday and faxed it back to the realtor the same evening.   Now we are just waiting for the buyer’s inspection and closing dates.  Yes, another inspection is underway but it’s good news.

News about the basement

Comments Off

On Wednesday the guy DB arranged to come over to give us a quotation of how much it would cost to fix up the basement came over.  One look at the basement he said the carpeting including the padding needs to come off right away.  I forgot to ask how much the quote was.  That service guy checked around the whole living area and the exercise room which is also our store room where the sump pump is.  The carpet in the entire living area plus part of the storage area leading to the sump pump had to come out.

This is what the living area looks line now….crappy old linoleum left on by the previous owners before they put on new carpet.
The living area of the basement

Here is how wet the board is….it holds the nails for the carpeting and padding.
soaked nail board

The laundry is spared coz there is never any carpeting there but it’s full of our junk.  DB had to remove the door to the exercise/store rom, that’s why you can see a door leaning against the washer.
Laundry room

And here is the ugly sump pump.  It was filled with water, all the way above the white pipes last Friday when DB opened it.
Sump pump in exercise room

Once the carpet came off, the smell that we were smelling since Monday disappeared. The smell of dead, moldy crap! Now the entire basement looks really disgusting….all of our stuff in the storage area that were sitting on the wet carpet (we didn’t know it was wet) are now in the middle of the living area. I took a video of the entire basement. It looks yucky, gives me the creeps.  The linoleum is exactly the same as the ones in the laundry room.

The insurance guy came yesterday and guess what he said???? The water damage to the basement will not be covered by home owners’ insurance.  Blardy hell!!  We now have to cough the cash out to pay that service guy for his service (tearing and hauling the wet stinky carpet away) plus his service.   The insurance guy said the damage was due to owner’s sump pump and water from outside.  If it’s due to city’s fault, i.e. sewer or  main pipes/drains, then they will cover for the damages.

What we are going to do is just leave it as is…the walls are wet too and we are not sure what to do with that.  The buyers are not happy, that’s too bad.  We don’t have the cash to buy and install carpeting for them.  The sheet rock on the walls we might tear down but also might leave them as skeletons….I honestly do not have the extra cash and also the time to do it.  DB is working hard to find a job so he can help me pay for the move and deposit for rental.  Plus packing and our daily things that are going on.  I told DB if our realtor is not happy with what we are thinking (she is not really too keen on leaving the basement half finished for the purchase), then she can help fork some cash and get some sheet rock and  help to fix the basement.  The walls have to come down soon as they are wet, a wonderful warm humid place for mold to grow.  Hopefully by this weekend we will decide when the walls will come down.

The wonderful basement

Comments Off

Soaked basement E 132nd St
This was what our basement looked like on Saturday morning.

It was soaking wet, squishy as in when you walk on it, it squishes. We had to remove all the boxes and stuff off the floor, moved them upstairs and dry them.  Then went to Sears and bought a dry/wet vac to suck the water from the carpet.

Spanking new wet/dry vac

As soon as we got home, we went to work…DB did all the work. He sucked up 6 buckets of water and the floor is still wet but not squishy.

Two dehumidifiers and fans are on full blast yet it’s not drying. We found the sump pump was jammed up. DB fixed that and now the water is draining. Want to read what the sump pump does, read here, me lazy to type.  Been in this house for 3 winters, no problem with the drainage, drain tiles.

The house inspection was today.  The guy came and showed us what he found with the basement.  He has a special kind of scanner to check for moisture.  The entire family room area is soaked and the water stops right at the only bedroom, laundry room and bathroom.  Then he scanned the walls of the family room.  They too are wet 2 feet from the floor up.  Wonderful, isn’t it?

We are smelling something foul now….it smells like something rotten.  We think it’s mold starting to build up in the sheetrock – inside the walls.  DB is now on the phone with our “dear” insurance company hopefully to be able to get it paid for to fix the mess.  If they are not paying and there is a reason why they don’t, we will have no choice to tear the walls down and carpets off ourselves and we need to get the walls dry soon coz we don’t want to inhale mold for whatever weeks left we have in this house.

Just what we need right now….totally don’t know what to say except to throw it out here!

Showings all done!

Comments Off

Yeehaw!!! I’m so over the moon!!!  Why?????  No more showins, no more cleaning, vacuuming every other day!  Damn happy right now.  Yesterday night was the last showings.  Fi-ni-to!

Reason is we have a BUYER!!!  Yes, someone offered us and now we just have to wait for the bank to approve which we think might take a few months at the rate the banks are going….snail pace.

There were showings almost every other day.  Most of them were returning to take a look at the house again.  So I guess even though I didn’t exactly put every thing away, I tried to shove most things under the bed, in the closets, dust and vacuum every day, the house was presentable for showings!  Hahaha, that’s my own consolation during the first 2 months.  The house was on the market since August and it’s mid November.  Not bad at all to get to the offer.

So when will we move out of the house?  The buyer is hoping to take possession in February 2010 but it still depends on the bank how fast they move.  But for now, I can relax a little more on my cleaning and don’t have to haul Ranger and the other up the truck.  Poor Ranger is now three-legged.  We have been going to the trails behind the dog park when we had showings.  Even tho  he has a limpy leg, that boy sure loves it out there.  He was running the entire time we were there.  I’m just glad we will not go there for a while.  Regular walks it is for him now.

This little bugger was hiding under the clothes I sorted out on the floor all ready to go into the washer.  I picked the clothes up and this bugger tried to run but couldn’t.  I think I messed up its leg but I’m not sure.  It look edhalf dead and for awhile I thought it was actually dead that’s why I took the picture.  But when I moved closer, it started to move abit and blinked its eyes.  I swear the  thing next to the tail is some intestines.  It doesn’t look like a leg to me.  Honestly, seeing this little bugger appeared in front of me freaked me out a little.  Hahaha, I had to send a text message to DB asking him “how to get rid of a mouse”.  However, before he even reply I put on gloves and put that fella in a bag, and threw it in the trash.  In order words, I was suffocating  and chilling this poor little guy.  Rest in peace, mousey.  Trash day is today, sorry dude.

DB had the tree and stump removal guys on Friday to cut the tree down.  The Lawrence Tree and Stump Removal guys did a good job cutting the three to pieces just right for us for our firewood. The rest of the tree went into their truck.  The stump will be removed on Monday.  I told DB to leave the stump so it won’t cost us so much money.  Removal of the stump cost more than cutting the tree down.

The side of the bedroom is now much warmer, no more shade from the tree.  And of course it makes the bedroom and the bathroom brighter, morning and mid morning sun baking in.  It would  be nice in the winter, but summer???
