DB Christmas gift?

Comments Off

This year’s Christmas will be a little bit more lighter than the previous years.  I asked DB what he wants for Christmas, he said he already had what he wanted – his trip to Malaysia.  However, I am still thinking of getting him a french press or maybe I should take a look at the  espresso machines and pick one up for him.  He drinks his coffee like he is drinking water.   The good thing is he drinks the same amount of water too when he inhales his coffee.

Workout machine

Comments Off

When we moved to our rented house 2 years ago, I dreaded to walk the boys in the heat.  The reason was in that particular neighborhood, there were hardly any mature trees.  All the trees along the sidewalks were so skinny that do not give any shade at all.  What I did was I bought an elliptical machine with a power incline ramp and pre-programmed workouts with ramp incline increments of 5 at a time.  I find that this machine is much more usable than the other machines we have at home like the Bowflex which is sitting in the corner of the exercise room collecting dust.

Window shopping in KL

Comments Off

I did so much window shopping in KL I think I am done for the rest of the year.  I wanted to buy so many things while I was in KL.  I yearned for more electronic gadgets, diamond pendants, and shoes.  I do not wear a lot of shoes, but I still like to get them.  I saw a pendant I like in a form of a sandal, but then wearing a sandal according to the Chinese means bearing a lot of burden!  It is alright, I can go without jewelry for a while but I am aming for my electronic toys.

Today is my first day back to work.  Since I am still not taking any solids, I am so weak.  Feel like a baby who can’t eat solids yet.  I tried to eat solids yesterday, but it didn’t sit well in my stomach.  What will I have for meals today  at work?  Soup and more soup, I guess.   I might go to the cafeteria and get some scramble eggs.  I had some scrambled eggs yesterday morning and I was fine.

I’m back to writing paid posts again.  Since I took a long hiatus from making money, I should get back to it asap.  It does help to pay the bills and credit cards.  So, folks, you will be seeing paid posts floating around again.  Sorry, guys, but I need to do what I need to do to make money.

DB is still looking for a job.  End of the year is not the best time to look for a job.  I am hoping that by beginning of the year, it will be better for him in terms of looking for a job.  He sure does not seem to be worried, but maybe he is just putting a face to show to me that all is fine.

The house is littered with the stuff I brought home from my vacation.  It needs a good cleaning up and clearing of unwanted crap strewn over the guest bed, floor and the basement is filled with clothes need to be laundered.  DB will be doing the laundry today and we need to shop for groceries this weekend.

Work is still the same.  I have a few reports to run.  Today is my boss’ flex day, however, she left an email for me to work on the reports….like I didn’t know.  I have been doing these reports during this time of the year for 6 years.  Very difficult to forget my duties.

It is also the time of the year….holiday luncheons.  Our HR department is holding a luncheon next week, Dec 19.  It’s a potluck, and I still have not decided what to bring.  Initially I wanted to take that day off, but since I have been sick and took all my sick and vacation days, I have no damn choice but to attend this luncheon.  As you can see, I’m not really a very sociable type of person.

Ok, here are some pictures taken during my trip.

More pet friendly hotels

Comments Off

Since we have two dogs, which are Labrador Retrievers, it is not easy to travel with them especially when we need to stay in a hotel.  I recalled when DB and I were traveling to Rochester for the weekend, we had to keep the dogs at a friend’s house since there are not many Pet Friendly Hotels in the city.  If there are back then, they are fairly expensive and what DB said it seems like the hotels catered for smaller pets.  Not big retrievers like our two boys.  Knowing that there is a website where we can search for pet friendly hotels certainly helps for pet owners who prefers to be with their pets instead of boarding them.   I know how it feels to be a part from your pets.  They are part of the family.
