The culprit

30 June 2008

Remember the puking and craping left by one of these three boys last week?  The culprit left some doo-doo for DB to clean on Saturday early morning, too.

We know who the culprit was, yes, it was Chase aka  Junior.  How we found out was DB was watching him when Junior wanted out.  Junior shot right out for a dump which was the runny ones.   I went on the whole of Friday and Saturday.  Finally, on Sunday it must cleared up and they are now back to normal.

Phew, can’t believe what a pain it was to clean the rugs and shampoo the carpet again.  This time he did it in the dining room on 5 spots.  I had to run to Petco to get a stronger formula poop/odor/stain remover to remove the stain and odor.  Since they were runny ones, i had to totally saturate the spots, let it sit for 30 minutes, blot them out and repeat the process three times.

What the heck did he eat out in the backyard?  I have no idea.  I know he loves to go to the far corner of the backyard because of the deer-scram granules I sprinkled on surrounding the lilies.  I hope it was not the granules that gave him the runnies.

Canon back in action

29 June 2008

Remember the Canon camera DB bought for me last April which became my favorite toy, and then how it konked out on us when we were on the plane to Malaysia last November?

DB finally sent it to CanonUSA to get it repair since it is still under warranty.  It took 4 days to get to the factory and only 1 day to repair and mailed back to us.   The problem with the camera was the LCD screen.  They replaced the screen and mailed it to us the same day.  Since I received it, the Sony Cybershot is sitting in my bag, in the back burner, as back-her-upper.

So, what did I do this afternoon instead of giving Ranger his weekly bath?  Yep, playing with the Canon again and before that, we were searching high and low for the guide book and finally we found it, I was a happy camper.  Didn’t know this Canon Powershot 630 has so many bells and whistles in that small little thing.

The public pool in the neighborhood

29 June 2008

The neighborhood just opened up a public pool.  It’s j ust right behind our home.  How fortunate for us.  We can probably walk or climb over the fence for a free dip.

The neighborhood public pool

I was glad I was not in part of the day yesterday.  I came home at 4:30 p.m. from Satay2Go and all I could hear was screaming and more and louder screaming, yelling from the kids and the great speakers they have installed by their pool.  It finally quiet down around 8:30 p.m.  DB said the kids started out in the pool after the quick rain fall which was around 11:00 a.m.

Today, it started at 9 a.m. and as of now it’s still going.  I am so tempted to call the cops to launch a complain, how noisy the stereo is which got louder and louder as the day goes on.  The stereo is the one that is frigging irritating.  By summer end, I will be able to learn some good old rap.

What’s your number?  I’ll call ya.

Photohunt: Bright

28 June 2008

PhotoHunters

This week’s  theme is Bright.  I didn’t go out to hunt.  Looked high and low for pictures of depicting Bright.  Here are two I am putting up for this week’s hunt.

Picture taken on Fremont Avenue, Las Vegas.  It was bright enough to light up the street across it.

Flowers from the crabapple tree against the bright sunny sky.  The flowers were the only thing that brigthens up the backyard.

Ranger, oh Ranger

Remember I mentioned earlier Ranger had yeast infection in his ears?  Yeah, the sweet, looking buddy of ours, who has the most patience amongst the three of them, is getting too much attention from us.  DB is still playing vet in our household.

Photobucket

You can see how red his ear is.  I guess the picture is not too good - too much flash which makes it yellow!  DB has to squirt some ear drops in to each ear, but the vet tech forgot to include the squirter with the bottle of ear drops.  So we had to make do with a syringe, of course without the needle.  He has to squirt the drops in every day and I have to clean his ears every week.  DB said he never had to do any of these with his previous dogs.  I told him Ranger is just one of a kind which makes him so special.  His ears are getting better and his itching with the different medication is working quite good, at least it looks tolerable than before.

Yeah, this guy is just panting away in this hot sticky weather.  We had the air-condition on most of the days and guess where these three boys will be at?  Either on top of the vent or laying against the wall next to the vents.  Why does it have to be so sticky in Minnesota??  And the skeeters are disgusting.

DB and I are wondering if the medication Ranger are taking is making him pant so much.  I know Predisone does, but the antibiotics and other non-steroid meds for his itchiness shouldnt.  Hhmmm, I still think he’s getting old and cannot tolerate heat anymore.

One of them soiled the carpet

26 June 2008

Db woke me up this morning at 3:30 telling me it’s time to get up if I want to go for my walk.  He is not going coz he needed to clean the carpets and rugs.  Immediately I was awake when I heard that.  He said when he got up at 2:30, he walked out to the kitchen and the thought he smelled some thing was not right.  He looked around the house, the boys- Ranger and Chase were laying in the living room, Coops was laying in the hallway to our room.  He got a cup of coffee, walked to the executive office and BOOM!  There there were, 6 piles of puke and crap: 2 piles of puke and 4 piles of crap.  Lovely.

That was what he has been doing the whole day.  Cleaned up the puke and crap, sprayed them down with some pet-odor-remover-stuff, soaked them up, waited for the spots to dry, repeat the action.  Bring the big rug outside.  I left for work at 5:40 to get away from it all.

When I got home, he had the office carpet cleaned up, all shampooed and vacuumed and the rug too which he had to haul it to the basement, run it through the shampooer.

We were trying to figure out who was the culprit.  All three didn’t go into the office this morning.  Too stinky.  So, who could it be?  Ranger, Chase or Cooper?  Our guess was Cooper because he looked guilty but DB thinks it was Chase.  But whoever it was, it does not matter.  It’s over with.  DB is now sitting down relaxing, finally.

The Boys

Here are the three boys, Ranger, Chase and Cooper, sitting pretty watching me eating my apple.  Yeah, can’t resist, I had to give them each a little bit of my apple.  Beggars can’t b e choosers.

Chase is getting big.  We promoted him and now he is out of his kennel.  He has outgrown his kennel at 6 months old.  DB and I thought he will be ok if he is out of his kennel.  It’s has been 4 nights since he is sleeping without the kennel in our room with the door opened.  He is doing good; knows how to bark loud if he really needs to go out for his potty.  He and Cooper are getting to be best buddies now.  They play a few times a day every day.

This is Chase sleeping next by the dining table while I was punching away on the laptop.  He has been sleeping in this position since he was a little pup.  I guess some things never change.

Photobucket

The tiled floor in the kitchen is now their favorite spot to chill, besides the bathroom tiled floor.   The above picture is Cooper all out after running and playing with the puppy.  Coops, you are not young anymore, buddy.

I’ve been to Angkor Wat, too
