DB, the sitter

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

DB had Ally yesterday and today.  She turned 2 months old yesterday, August 6.    She is pretty much a good baby, fusses when she’s tired and with dirtied diapers.  The boys did good with her.  Chase, the licker, licks her non stop, her feet, hands, legs, anything he can get a hold of.   I have to say this kid has a sensor on her head or body.  Each time we put her down after she falls asleep in our arms, she will be wide awake.  She is 15 pounds and I have to say, I have sore arms today.  DB said I need to lift weights so I can carry her.  I’m sure after a few times carrying her, I will be building muscles.

Cell phone fell in the crapper

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

DB’s phone felled into the crapper this evening.  He has been looking for new phones for a while but is putting that idea away for now.  He dried it immediately after it felled in but it’s not working the same.  The ringer does not sound the same.  He can’t call out and it shuts off by itself.  It’s acting exactly the same when I had my previous phone soaking wet in the rain.  I told him he has no other choices now and get on to Verizon to order the phone he so want.  At least it’s a phone and not a HDTV which we definitely will wait for some time to replace our projection tv.  So, if DB orders a new phone, I would be getting a new one too since mine is up for a new one.  EVery two years we get a new phone with a new contract, but now, by the 18th month, we are able to look for new ones.  Yeehaa, I might get the LG Chocolate or LGenV2…

Sunday afternoon out

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Last Sunday I was not going to do much except walk the boys and then chill out watching NASCAR in the afternoon.  But that was not the case.  I went out to meet up with Corrine and we hooked up with Tammy and we had a girls outing.  We went to the mall to look for  Birkenstock shoes at Comfort Shoes store but no luck.  Corrine was looking for a close toe shoes and I was looking for something where I can were to work, not sandals or slippers.  There were a lot of other brands on sale.  They were very reasonable priced but I didn’t get any.  I think I have enough of shoes for the right now.

Our next stop was at The Galleria in Edina.  We had our lunch at a health foods restaurant.  It’s call Earth Food, I think.  The food is just so-so, not much to much to my liking.  While we were at the mall, I was looking for some kind of stand for the pot of plant I have right now sitting in the entryway.  I saw a lot of wind chimes in the pottery store, too which I wanted to get one but the prices are meant for the higher income folks.  Could not find the stand, we head out to Crate and Barrell where Corrine looked for curtains.  This store is another one of my favorites but I can never buy anything from there.

From there we were looking for another shoe store call The Good Feet Store, but instead we found a French pastry shop, Patrick’s Cafe.  Dang, the desserts were to die for.  I first tasted them during my birthday where Simmie bought some cakes and pastries for us.  The cheesecake was delicious.  Mhmmm, I might go again this weekend?  Maybe.
