Every Thursday evening I will have my dinner at B&C’s home. They are the one who invited me over for last Thanksgiving dinner. I have been going every week except for a couple of weeks I didnt due to me refusing to drive on a skating rink! Yesterday’s dinner was good as usual. They invited my hubs for dinner too but that fella is anti-Catholic/Christian. He thinks by going to B&C’s they are going to brainwash him to return to the church! I think that’s what he thinks which it’s not. B told me don’t force him, just open the invitation to him…they just want to meet him and get to know him, and that’s it. No brainwashing or any of the spiritual pep talk. When I’m over for dinner, I eat with B&C and his daughter and family…all 12 of us in one long dining table. The daughter’s family of 7 kids will share what significant thing happened or learned that day. Last evening B had to share his experience with the family on his tele-con with the insurance rep on renewing the mechanical breakdown insurance for the boiler for the school…B is one very intelligent man and I always love listening to his conversations and how he explains things….he was a teacher and now a subsitute at a Catholic school.  Since the dinner with them is on a Thursday and Survivor comes on in 2 weeks time at 7 pm, February 11, I might have to change the day or have to leave right after dinner in order to get my butt home to watch the show….yes, I’m that crazy over this reality show.  I can always record it and watch it later…that’s one option and the other is to just say screw the show!

Movie this weekend

So I finally decide to see Avatar, the show everyone is raving about.  I bought 2 tickets from work to the IMAX theater for this Saturday’s showing. DB is damn happy to get to see a 3-D movie, anything 3-D he’s up for it. This coming date with him will be my first 3-D movie. So jakun of me!  I have not decided which time we are going for but for sure I want him to get the honey-to-do list down, especially replacing the furnace filter that needs to be replaced badly.   It will be a great experience for me with 3-D and hope I will survive it!  Heard that watching 3-D movies can be scary….so will see how it goes for me.

It seems I’m getting more zits now than when I was a teenager. When I was a teenager I hardly have any zits on my face….my face was clear as crystal. No scars, nothing. Now is a different story. Zits all the time. I blamed it on the dogs for licking my face no matter how much I push them avoid when they try to lick my face. I reckon the smell of moisturizers I put on my face are too “delish” for them, so they, especially Chase, have to lick my clean face! Cilaka!!! Also I think it’s all due to stress and lack of sleep will get these lovely zits popping up on my face. I was Googling how to treat acne but my friend told me she used Franch oil every night. This was back in Ipoh when i met her in Jul’09. She has some major hormonal problem thus all these zits on her face which left scars, too was horrible for her. She told me to try it.  So I bought a bottle of Franch oil at Mustafa on my last night in Spore. Franch oil is a traditional medicated oil hence I have to use it religiously every night. I only use it before I go to bed coz it’s super oily. It does help to minimize the zits and left very little scaring. But then I forget to put the oil on some nights. But overall the oil does help with the scaring and also takes a little longer for the acne to heal. My sister also bought a bottle but I’m not sure if she used it coz I kept forgetting to ask her.

This post is long long overdue. Back in October or September (so long ago, I can’t even remember!), I notice there were a lot of red bumps on Chase’s jaw, right at the bottom of his chin. DB look at it and he thinks it’s NBD (no big deal). So I thought nbd, nbd lah. Took a picture of it but memory card spoiled. That is why no picture up here. He said nothing to loose our sleep over this. Cooper had them before but then back in 2001, Cooper was a year old and being first time dog owner we sure brought him to the vet. Vet of course prescribed medication. But for Chase….more chin-chai.

So, I left it be for 2 weeks, DB already left for TX. The red bumps became boil like bumps. So what I did, I put my acne cream on them which became the best acne treatment in my book for Chase’s acne!!! They dried up within a day and some in two days.  Moreover, I used a sterilized needle to bust some of those boils.  Not an easy task coz that fella was squirming around trying to get away (who wouldn’t, right?) and just me trying to hold him down with my legs.  Now he is acne free.  I searched the web and it is very common for dogs or even cats to develop acne from the oil in the food, dirt and bacteria.

Since I went to a new hairdresser at a private home for my hair cuts, my scalp has been itching like crazy. I told DB I think I have head lice. He laughed and of course he checked it he said nope, nothing of that rubbish. So what is causing the itchiness?? DB thinks it’s dermatitis of the scalp which I need to get a OTC medicated shampoo which I did. I sort of help but them now I felt there are scalp pimples which really bugs the crap outta me. I have no choice to make an appointment with the doc to get good medication for the itching and pimply scalp!
