Since I had one whole week off during the Christmas and New Year holidays, I totally spent my time Fb-ing and watching movies I have recorded on the satelite receiver. But then I remember I have a few yards of fleece left, so started tracing up the pattern for a pair of sweat pants – fancy types – with pockets! Started assembling the pieces aand sewed it and when it came to the pockets, I got stuck with the instructions and pictures. See, I can’t even follow pictorial instructions!!! It was confusing in my book. When I figured it out later in the day on Friday, I was happy and chugged along sewing the cargo pockets and @#$%^&. All the curse words flew right out me. The fabric was stucked in the foot of the machine. Disemble the machine and it’s still doing the same thing. Have to call up the local dealer and send it in. Hopefully it’s not going to cost an arm or leg to get it fix like what Nadine paid for her tv stand she bought for their bedroom.

New Year, new beginnings

Happy belated New Year!

2010, start of another decade. It does sound kinda weird have to say “twenty-ten” or ” two thousand ten” or to write 2010 on checks and while saving my reports that I had generated this morning with “2010″ at the end of each file name.

New year with new medical insurance carrier too. I didn’t get instant life insurance quote from my insurance company since I opted out of it this year.  It’s lighter on the paycheck, definitely.

If only I can get insurance for this dog. Unfortunately, I can’t even when we first adopted him 10 years ago.

The collar around him was to prevent him from licking his very bad paw (the one that is bend) which he injured when we went for a walk.  He must have stepped on broken ice and also probably salt on the roads and our driveway.  The paw was so bad he actually yelped when I washed it and applied antibiotic cream on it.  Ranger never ever yelps or whines unless he is in real pain.  Poor boy.

He is doing better now but it’s just his hind leg is still giving him the limp after each walk.  Right now the vet said no walk for him till this Thursday, but yesterday I caved in after seeing his sad eyes staring back at me.  Was a very short walk and yet he limps and hopped around on three legs after the walk.
