Photohunt: Cloud(s)

Cloud is this week’s  theme.  It was hard to find the sky with clouds these days, the weather has been so hot, clear blue skies with not a single cloud.  So, I searched through my pictures and found the below picture taken in March of this year.  Spring weather, blue skies with only one patch of cloud in the sky.    I find it kinda cool.  Can you see it?  Have a great weekend y’all.

Photohunt: Hanging

This week’s  theme is Hanging.  Here is a picture of what’s left of the basketball net hanging by itself on the hoop.  This in-ground steel basketball pole, hoop, backboard, and net are as old as the house.  It was installed when the first owners moved-in in 1966.  The net felled apart last year, must be from the weather and wear and tear through the 40+ years.

Photohunt: What is that

The  theme for this week is What is that and I found something that made me wondered initially.  First look, I thought it was a beanie baby.  When I picked it up, there are no beanies in it.  So what is that?

It’s a computer screen cleaner using the belly of the Zebra.

Next, what are the white balls amongst the little hole in the backyard?  Do you know what is that?

Photobucket

Those white looking balls are mothballs.  The vet told us putting mothballs in the patch where the dogs like to dig will stop them from further digging.  It worked for us.

Another week gone by…this week’s theme is Pointed.   I took this picture last evening while waiting for dinner.  Chase and Cooper were at it with the torn up soft frisbee.  This tug-of-war game is an everyday routine for them.  Good for them and definitely good for me; I don’t have to walk them two so much!

This week’s  theme is Bright.  I didn’t go out to hunt.  Looked high and low for pictures of depicting Bright.  Here are two I am putting up for this week’s hunt.

Photobucket

Picture taken on Fremont Avenue, Las Vegas.  It was bright enough to light up the street across it.

Flowers from the crabapple tree against the bright sunny sky.  The flowers were the only thing that brigthens up the backyard.

This week’s  theme is Water.  I didn’t do much hunting for pictures but will just post this picture of water fountains.  Fung shui believes that putting a water fountain on the front yard of your house will bring in fortune to the household.

Photohunt: Emotion

14 June 2008

PhotoHunters

This week’s is Emotion and here is a picture of one very overly emotional/melodramatic dog, Chase.  He will whines/barks up a storm when it’s meal/treat time; before we head out for his walks/car rides.  He even pretended he had a broken leg to get our sympathy.  Sorry Chasey, we didn’t buy that.  This picture I caught him eating the dirt from the little hole on the yard, turned around and gave me the puppy eyes.  Must have tasted good since he was licking his mouth.

See the gunk on my lips?

This week’s theme is Shoes.  Hubby says I have a lot of shoes, hah, he has not seen the shoes I had before I came to live with him.  I do have a few pairs but I do not keep them for years like he does.  Below is a picture of his tennis shoes.  The one on the left is one of the older pair he has.  He bought that pair in 1993, the one next to it just last year before we went on our trip to Malaysia.  The old pair of Nikes has put on lots and lots of miles in South East Asia.  It is now semi retired.

Photohunt: Candy

PhotoHunters

This week’s  theme is candy, like in Hersheys, Milky Way, Cadbury, Godiva, M&Ms and so many more out there.  For my hubby and I, we always have Dove chocolates in the refrigerator for the sweet tooth moments.  The green little ones you see are hard candy made of guava from China.   There are still more in the refrigerator which are all chocolates from milk to dark.  Cavities galore if you ask me!

The theme for this week’s  is to share any photo.  I will share a photo which I took at Hoover Dam.  Nothing fancy, was just playing with the different modes and caught a shot that I really like.  The next one is a picture of The Luxor with the clouds reflecting off the glass.

This week’s theme is Time.  The below picture was taken from the Finance department at my company.  I was waiting for the day I could take a picture of the clocks in the finance department displaying the various times in the countries that have other major finance departments.  The finance department where I am at is part of the corporate division that supports the finance divisions of the other market groups globally.

Time

The time I took this picture was 6:06 a.m. Central Standard Time on Friday, May 2.  It was 12:06 p.m. in London on May 2.   However, in Sydney, Australia, the time was 9:06 p.m., and 4:36 p.m. in India, both on May 2.

This week’s  theme is on Glass.  I looked around the house, nothing much that’s actually glass except for this sun cather I bought when I was in Portland.  It is a house located next to a lighthouse.

The theme for this week’s  is “High”.  I did thought of being “high” like stoned on drugs!  But of course I have no pictures of that kind of “high”.  What I found on my albums are pictures from my trip to Cameron Highlands, Perak, Malaysia last year December.  My friend, Stef and her hubby, Pat together with her mom and I were there on a day trip.  The picture below is where the Boh Tea Plantation is located.  The look-out thingy that protrudes out up high on the cliff was specially built for visitors to view the beautiful rows and rows of tea plants.  I took the picture while we were walking up.Photobucket

The above picture is the view from the look-out looking down to the tea plantation workers’ living quarters which is on midle left of the picture that are sorta dark green in color.  The narrow path to the top is on the mid left of the picture.
